Banrai Tin Thai Ngarm

 Banrai Tin Thai Ngarm is a small countryside retreat that has grown from our family’s love for rural living and nature.

The story of our home began on a 6-rai mixed farm in Ban Tung Ha, Mae Ram Subdistrict, Chiang Mai Province. Surrounded by mountains, streams, and lush natural landscapes, the farm is located just 20 kilometers from Chiang Mai city and only a short distance from Mae Sa Waterfall.

Mr. Panom and Mrs. Petchara Mee Suk, the owners of Baan Rai, have lived and worked on this land for decades. In addition to farming, Mr. Panom has been involved in local tourism and worked as a licensed tour guide since 1995. Mrs. Petchara previously taught Thai language and culture to international volunteers with the United States Peace Corps Thailand.

Through the opportunities to meet people from around the world, many travelers have come to experience the simple way of life in this community. Guests can stroll through the gardens, harvest seasonal fruits and vegetables, learn about rice cultivation, cook traditional local dishes, or simply relax under the shade of the trees and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of nature.

As more visitors arrived, Ban Rai Tin Thai Ngarm gradually evolved from a small campsite and bamboo huts in the garden into a more comfortable and secure accommodation. However, we have always remained true to the charm of a countryside home and the warm hospitality of a family-run retreat.

Over the years, we have placed great importance on caring for our green spaces, planting fruit trees and flowers, and restoring the natural richness of the surrounding forests together with our local community. We believe that a healthy natural environment is a precious legacy that should be preserved for future generations.

What makes Ban Rai Tin Thai Ngarm unique is the experience we hope to share with every guest: nature, simplicity, sincerity, and the opportunity to experience the authentic rural lifestyle of Chiang Mai.
